Security Architecture & Enterprise Standards

Effective Date: September 11, 2026•Version 2.3 (Enterprise Grade)•Document ID: DGL-SEC-ARCH-2026

At DigantaLabs, security is not an afterthought or an external compliance checklist. It is an architectural invariant embedded into every line of code, cloud blueprint, database partition, and CI/CD deployment pipeline engineered by our specialized teams.

FIPS 140-2 Validated

Bank-Grade Cryptography

All client data in transit is enforced via TLS 1.3 with Perfect Forward Secrecy. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256-GCM via hardware security modules (HSMs).

MicroVM Tenancy

Isolated Execution Sandboxes

Application workloads and client code run inside ephemeral, network-isolated microVMs. We enforce strict zero cross-tenancy across all client environments.

Hardware MFA (FIDO2)

Zero-Trust Access Control

Engineers access production environments strictly via short-lived ephemeral certificates, hardware security keys, and least-privilege role boundaries.

Automated CI/CD Gateways

Continuous DevSecOps Auditing

Every pull request undergoes automated SAST, DAST, and dependency vulnerability scanning (Semgrep, Snyk, Dependabot) prior to staging deployment.

1. Defense-in-Depth Security Philosophy

DigantaLabs structures all software systems around the principle of defense-in-depth. We assume that any single layer of defense (such as a firewall, token authentication, or input validation) may eventually be probed or compromised; therefore, every subsystem is fortified with independent, complementary security boundaries.

Our architecture mandates mutual TLS between services, least-privilege identity boundaries, isolated runtime memory sandboxes, continuous static and dynamic analysis, and cryptographic isolation of client datasets across all tiers.

2. Zero Trust Access & Hardware MFA

We enforce a strict Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA) across all internal studio operations and client development infrastructure:

  • No Implicit Trust: No device, IP address, or network location—whether inside an office or operating remotely—is granted default trust. Every request is explicitly authenticated, authorized, and cryptographically verified.
  • FIDO2 Hardware Security Keys: Access to production cloud environments (AWS, GCP, GitHub, Vercel) requires phishing-resistant FIDO2/WebAuthn hardware authenticators (YubiKey). SMS and legacy TOTP authentication methods are disallowed for infrastructure engineers.
  • Ephemeral SSH Certificates: Engineers do not possess persistent SSH keys. Production bastion access is granted via short-lived (1 to 8 hour) cryptographic certificates signed by an automated identity gateway (HashiCorp Boundary / Teleport) upon approval.

3. Ephemeral Workload Sandboxing

When developing custom software, algorithmic pipelines, or applied AI agents, execution isolation is paramount:

MicroVM Sandboxing (AWS Firecracker / gVisor): Code execution workers and data processing scripts run inside lightweight, hardware-isolated microVMs with sub-second launch times. Each tenant executes within its own isolated Linux kernel namespace, preventing noisy-neighbor interference and side-channel memory inspection.

Network Egress Restrictions: Sandboxed containers are bound by default-deny egress security groups. Workloads cannot reach unapproved external IP ranges, precluding data exfiltration risks.

4. Cryptographic Envelope Key Management

Data at rest is protected using cryptographic envelope encryption:

  • Data Encryption Keys (DEKs): Plaintext records are encrypted locally using AES-256-GCM with unique, high-entropy 256-bit symmetric keys.
  • Key Encryption Keys (KEKs): DEKs are themselves encrypted using customer-managed master keys held within FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validated Hardware Security Modules (AWS KMS, GCP Cloud KMS).
  • Automated Key Rotation: Master keys undergo automated annual rotation without requiring re-encryption of previously archived historical snapshots.

5. DevSecOps: SAST, DAST & SCA Auditing

Security verification is integrated directly into the developer workflow:

Static Code Analysis (SAST)

Automated Semgrep and ESLint security rules run on every branch push, scanning for SQL injection, XSS, insecure deserialization, and hardcoded secrets.

Software Composition (SCA)

Dependabot and Snyk continuously audit npm, pip, and cargo dependencies against CVE advisory databases, blocking builds with critical vulnerabilities.

Dynamic Analysis (DAST)

Automated OWASP ZAP scans execute against staging review environments before pull requests are permitted to merge into the main branch.

Container Image Signing

Docker container images are signed cryptographically using Sigstore Cosign; admission controllers reject unsigned images in production clusters.

6. Edge Defense & DDoS Mitigation

DigantaLabs shields all deployed web surfaces with enterprise edge protections:

  • Anycast DDoS Mitigation: Cloudflare Magic Transit and enterprise edge network filters block Layer 3/4 volumetric attacks (SYN floods, UDP amplification) up to multi-terabit scales.
  • Web Application Firewall (WAF): Layer 7 rules inspect incoming HTTP requests, mitigating OWASP Top 10 exploits, credential stuffing, and malicious bot scraping.
  • Rate Limiting & Anomaly Detection: Token-bucket rate limiters prevent API abuse while behavioral anomaly detection flags suspicious traffic spikes in real time.

7. Disaster Recovery, RPO & RTO Guarantees

For production databases and managed services, we guarantee institutional business continuity:

Recovery Point Objective (RPO) < 15 Minutes: Continuous point-in-time database WAL journaling ensures that in the event of an unforeseen catastrophic data center failure, maximum potential data divergence is restricted to under fifteen minutes.

Recovery Time Objective (RTO) < 1 Hour: Automated Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Pulumi) enables complete cluster reprovisioning in alternate cloud regions within sixty minutes.

Immutable Backups: Daily automated snapshots are stored with S3 Object Lock (WORM compliance) across distinct geographic regions, preventing ransomware encryption or accidental administrative deletion.

8. Continuous Penetration Testing

In addition to automated tooling, DigantaLabs subjects its core architecture to periodic white-box and black-box penetration testing conducted by independent, CREST-accredited offensive cybersecurity firms.

Penetration test executive summaries and attestation letters are made available to enterprise clients under a mutual non-disclosure agreement during formal vendor procurement reviews.

9. 24/7 Incident Response Lifecycle

Our dedicated Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) follows a four-phase NIST SP 800-61 lifecycle:

Phase 1

Triage & Contain

Immediate traffic isolation, token revocation, and memory snapshotting.

Phase 2

Root Cause Forensic

Log trace analysis, timeline reconstruction, and blast radius auditing.

Phase 3

Eradicate & Patch

Vulnerability hotfix deployment, key rotation, and regression testing.

Phase 4

Post-Mortem & Notice

Client disclosure within 24 hours of confirmation and prevention hardening.

10. Vulnerability Disclosure Program & Safe Harbor

DigantaLabs welcomes responsible security researchers who investigate our systems in good faith. If you believe you have identified a security vulnerability, we invite you to report it to our security desk:

Safe Harbor Commitment: We will not pursue civil action or initiate legal complaints against researchers who: (i) make a good-faith effort to avoid privacy violations and service degradation; (ii) do not access or modify client data; and (iii) provide us reasonable time to remediate before public disclosure.

PGP-Encrypted Reporting: Please send vulnerability details, proof-of-concept payloads, and reproduction steps to security@digantalabs.studio. We acknowledge receipt within twenty-four (24) hours and provide ongoing triage updates.
